(Jeph and Cassandra :) )

Overall it was a pretty awesome con. I managed to make a modest profit in spite of some significant expenses (associated with it being an away-con), so I am very pleased. It definitely confirmed my theory that I do better at ALL Anime Cons, not just AnimeEvo. Now I need to figure out how to fix that :( (Because most West Coast Cons are NOT Anime Cons v_v)
Sold a couple of the new prints (whew!) I have THREE LEFT. Figuring out how to sell them online possibly.
More importantly, it was an excellent con socially. I got to meet some excellent people, including Yuko (
Chillin' with existing friends (namely: Jeph, R.Stevens, Randall Munroe, Snafu Dave) was also really really fun, it was the whole point of doing this particular con...
Of course I would be remiss to mention that I had the pleasure and priviledge of hanging out with my Atown BFF Cassandra (
I was initially worried about the stress all of this travel and madness would have on her beloved Chocobo, but he was a perfect gentleman!

So yeah, convention highlights:
Aftercon was my annual visit with the family, which was awesome but, as always, too short. In one intense week I bought a wedding dress (!!!), had a barbecue, spilled all the Lost Omens beans for Cassandra and rewrote significant areas of the plot with her, went ATV riding with my Uncle John and bike riding with my Dad (twice! Once was after a failed Kayak adventure), found a venue for the second-reception AND a band to play at it, and went to a George Thorogood concert (Baaaad to the booooone). NOT BAD FOR A WEEK.
